Verse 26 made me think of how serving the Lord is not easy but that God honors our service and brings beauty from the difficult work. Christ also helps carry our load and keep it from being more than we can bear.

Verse 27 made me get vulnerable and expose my own fears right now. My soul has been feeling conflicted and “troubled” with certain decisions in life…some days it feels as though God is calling me to an hour I don’t know if I am ready or prepared to enter into. However, even though Jesus is as mighty as a lion, he is gentle, he will not harm us and we can reach into the scary places and rest assured we will not be harmed. We have been called for such a time as this.
